Ozone Therapy?
Ozone therapy, often referred to as "Prolozone therapy", is an injection technique utilizing a homeopathic solution and ozone to target musculo-skeletal and joint pain. It has been used to treat chronic neck and back pain, shoulder and elbow pain, degenerative discs, and arthritic hips and knees.
When tissue is damaged, there is often a decreased oxygen perfusion to the area. The decreased oxygen utilization in the area can often lead to chronic pain and degeneration. Ozone therapy provides the tissue with adequate oxygen required to efficiently regenerate to the normal tissue. By allowing the damaged tissue to regenerate, ozone therapy addresses the problem rather than to masking the resulting pain.
